Animated signature generator
Turn your signature into a short motion clip: a real pen-replay if you drew it, or a left-to-right reveal if you typed or scanned it. Export as WebM or GIF at sizes made for Reels, Shorts, LinkedIn or a square post. Processed in your browser, never uploaded.
Animate a signaturePen-replay vs. reveal
A drawn signature keeps its stroke order and speed, so it can be replayed exactly as you signed it. A typed or scanned signature has no stroke data, so it animates as a left-to-right reveal instead. See drawing a signature for a true pen-replay.
Choosing a format
WebM gives you a smaller file with a clean transparent background. GIF is the safer choice where a platform or app will not accept WebM. Either way the clip comes straight out of your browser.
Platform-ready sizes
Presets cover a 9:16 clip for a Reel or Short, 16:9 for LinkedIn, and a square 1:1 post. Pick whichever matches where you are posting so the signature is not cropped oddly after upload.
Caption safe zones
An optional safe-zone guide marks where a platform typically places its own captions or buttons, so you can keep your signature clear of that area while you position it.
Where to use it
A closing beat on a video, a moving intro on a social post, or a small animated mark on a profile. It is the same signature you already made, just in motion.
Getting a clean pen-replay
Only a drawn signature carries real stroke timing. If you typed or scanned yours and want the true replay, draw it once in Draw and save it to your kit.
Before you animate
Animate works from whatever you have already saved, including your on-dark or display variant. Build the kit first with Download, then come back to animate any version of it.
Frequently asked questions
Does a typed signature also animate?
Yes, but as a left-to-right reveal rather than a true pen-replay, since a typed signature has no recorded stroke data.
What about a scanned signature?
The same left-to-right reveal, since a photo has no stroke timing either.
WebM or GIF, which should I pick?
WebM for a smaller file with a clean transparent background. GIF when the destination will not accept WebM.
What sizes are available?
Presets sized for a Reel or Short (9:16), LinkedIn (16:9) and a square 1:1 post, so pick whichever matches where you are posting.
What are the caption safe-zone guides for?
They mark where a platform typically places its own captions or buttons, so you can keep your signature clear of that area.
Is the animation uploaded anywhere to render?
No. It is generated in your browser and downloads directly.
Can I animate any of my kit variants?
Yes. Animate works from whatever signature or kit variant you have already created, including on-dark or display versions.
